What is a common Dress code in Saudi Arabia?

The people of Saudi Arabia observe very strictly what they wear when they are in public, which is commonly known by people as Dress Code. Women are supposed to wear conservative and loose fitting clothes which include a cloak (abaya). Traditionally women clothes should be thick, opaque and does not resemble those of men. Local women are expected to cover their hair, it is not a must but they are always advised to carry a scarf which they can use to cover their heads just in case unexpected event arises. This is to avoid humiliation in the public by religious leaders or even police. Men are not spared either and they are not supposed to wear shorts or go shirtless in the public but instead they are supposed to wear white robe with sleeveless known as thobe.
