Saudi Arabian Event and Festival

There are some important Events and Festivals in Saudi Arabia. 

1. Eid al Fitr Festival. This is the main festival for all Muslim  faith  in the world. This festival is conducted after the fasting month to express the victory for all Muslim.
2. Eid al Adha Festival. This is  a festival of all Islamic follower to remember the time  when that God tested Prophet Abraham by asking him to sacrifice his son Ismail. During this festival, the locals sacrifice sheep and other animals as a symbolic gesture of the sheep that Abraham offered after God declared Ishmael’s sacrifice unnecessary.
3. Date Palm Festival. About 6 millions date palm fruit will be shown in this festival. Usually, Government representative, Prince Faisal bin Mishal will inaugurate the festival. Along the festival, there are about 25 million riyals the date palm fruit be sold.  "We expect the supply of dates increased 20 percent during the festival," said Festival Chairman, Khaled Al-Naqidan. Various programs are held as supporting events festival. Visitors will also be taken around the palm plantations in Buraidah. If you do not have time come when ramadan, not to worry. The festival is generally held for 75 days.
4. Janadriya Heritage Festival is an annual event,  which organized by the Saudi Arabian National Guard located in Janadriya area, 45 km from Riyadh. 
5. The Islamic New Year is celebrated in all Muslim Countries, mainly in Saudi Arabia, with the many religious ceremonies conducted. This festival is known as Muharam Month.
6. Jenadriyah Festival. It is Saudi Arabia’s first National Heritage and Folk Culture Festival and features camel races, folk dancers, poetry reading and feasting.
7. Mauled of  Prophet Muhammad is a festival for celebrating the birth of Prophet Muhammad. All muslim faith in the world celebrate this event.
