Most beautiful Country in the Middle East

One of the most beautiful sovereign state of the Middle East is known as Lebanon is located at the age of coastal line of Mediterranean sea I western Asia. It is spread in an area of 10,400 square kilometers. The boarders of the north and east of Syria and on the south it touches the Israeli border. Beirut is the largest capital and the city of the Lebanon country. 

Land and Climate

Lebanon is based on two mountain ranges that are parallel with each other. These ranges extend the length of the country near to the coastal plain in the Mediterranean Sea. In the east, these ranges are extended to the Syrian border. The Bekaa valley is found between the two mountain ranges, the valley receives water from the Litani the chief river of the Lebanon. The Litani River runs from southward to westward and flows into the Mediterranean Sea. 

The atmosphere around the coast of Mediterranean sea has warm rainy summer and mild winter with rain. Summer in the Bekaa valley is hot and dry and cool in winter. During winter high winds, heavy rain and snow on the slopes of the mountain are noted. 

The natural life of the plant depends on the latitude and climate. Different varieties of fruits like olive trees, grapes, bananas, orange and apples are grown in this area. The Bekaa valley is also very useful for farming and people are engaged in farming of tobacco, vegetables, cotton, grains and mulberries. Much of the soil is barren. Soil erosion is the other drawback of reducing the farming of different vegetable and fruits. 

People and Culture

People are unevenly distributed in urban and rural areas; the population is around 3.6 million people in Lebanon. The greater population in urban areas, where two-third majority lives. Mostly people are Arabs and two third of them are Palestinians. English and French are spoken locally by the people. 

Two-third majority of people is educated and it is considered as one of the most literate country of Arab. Availability of higher education is also present in the country and a large number of institutes like St, Joseph University, and the American University of Beirut, the Lebanese University and the Beirut Arab University are some of the examples of good education. Many other private institutes are present to the public in fulfilling their educational needs.
