Women Life in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia is religiously important place for Muslim as it is considered as the birth place of Islam. The two holy cities Mecca & Medina are located here. So, here Islamic laws are so strictly followed. Here, women’s rights are defined by Islamic sharia. Sharia is based on holy Quran and hadith (teaching of Muhammad).

Females must have a male guardian in Saudi Arabia. This guardian may be her husband or her father or brother or even her son. A female in Saudi cannot travel without the permission of her guardian. Not only travel, she should have permission from guardian for marriage, for opening bank account, for elective surgery, for education, for employment also. There no written law for guardianship. This is a custom in Saudi society.

There is the most important thing in Saudi society is Purdah which means women to avoid men and to cover most of their bodies. This should be applied when a chance to meet opposite sex who are not Mahram. Mahram is defined as the kind of kinship. There are 14 types of Mahram.

Female should cover her body except eyes and hands in Saudi Arabia among non relative people, especially opposite sex. This type of dress is called in Arabic ‘awarah’. One kind of police who are strictly concerned about breaking of Islamic laws, are so active in Saudi Arabia. They are most of the time very busy to ensure Purdah of women.

Sexual segregation is also highly occupied in Saudi Arabia. Most of the houses have two doors. One is for men outside from the house and another is for going to harem. Second one is used by the women. This is a serious social dishonor to enter an outside man in harem. Most of the restaurants have two doors, one for bachelor and another for family. There is a strong divider between two sides also. Most of the theme parks have two different times for bachelor and family. Some parks are especially for family also.

In Saudi Arabia there is little scope for women to do work outside now a day. This is discouraged here by their guardians. Generally women are taught here to raise their children and to take care of household work. This is Saudi culture that men’s place is outside and women’s place is home. Though, some women work as doctor, as nurse or as teacher in school.

In this internet era women may have some opportunity to know outside world in Saudi Arabia though some Saudi people want to ban social media such as face book, twitter etc.

Women of Saudi Arabia socializing or political

Women’s rights in Saudi Arabia are defined by Islamic and inborn customs. Women in Saudi Arabia have a very limited public life, whether it is socializing or political. It is a must for women to have a male guardian with them all the time. In Saudi Arabia, women are not treated equally and men have more rights than women. These are not written laws but the laws set according to the Islamic laws and customs.

Politics has been an integral component to govern a state and hence, women play an important and active role in it. But, it is quite opposite in Saudi Arabia as women are governed by Islamic laws and thus, they are only responsible to nurture a family and men perform the remaining tasks.

Saudi Arabia is the only country that does not allow women to drive. Women are not allowed to work there and apply for jobs. Only a few job posts are applicable for women in Saudi Arabia such as teaching, nursing, spas etc. Regardless of any age, women were not allowed to vote in the past and they were not allowed to take part in any political organizations to help the country develop. Women had lesser rights than men, and no freedom of speech. They want feminism to be promoted in the country and as politics is the main component to govern any state, women want to play equal role as men.

Women in Saudi Arabia were very frustrated with the political situations and were waiting for the time when they stand to take part in politics in the country. It was a difficult job to speak up for their rights. Until, Saudi Arabia’s king Abdullah declared that women will finally be allowed to vote and even run domestic elections starting in 2015. This act of King Abdullah was a symbolic gesture towards the rights of women that will make difference in the politics of the country. He also named thirty women to be in the Kingdom’s Shura council. Shura council is basically a body that cannot perform legislative operations but they will be the closest body to the parliament in the country.

Saudi Arabia is a country which is governed according to strict religious beliefs and according to Islamic laws. Women had lesser rights in politics and no freedom of speech, until King Abdullah declared that women can finally take part in the politics of the country.

Wedding style in Saudi Arabia

As it is the tradition of Muslims culture, the wedding is planned by elders of the family. First the parents of grooms come to the girls' parents and respectfully asked for their son’s proposal. Informal search for a groom is done by his sisters and his mother. After their coalition, they inform to the guardian of the family as it is known that males are the leader of the family. After these processes as they decided to go girl’s house. The parents of girl’s have right to reject or accept the proposal. Islam has given the right to take decisions about her life. After getting positive response they sit down to take further decisions. Three days before the wedding, the bride is entirely primed oily with all types of oils and perfumes. Her body is cleansed of conditioning oils. The night before the wedding, stunning designs of henna are drawn on the hands of brides. Her sister, friends and cousins make this ceremony lush and enjoyable by singing traditional songs.

Now the day has come, it’s the wedding day. A small ceremony takes place before the actual celebration. The marriage is officially considered by a religious sheikh, an Islamic magistrate. The groom has asked for more to give the bride. He declared this before three witnesses. They might be all males or two women and a man. The marriage ceremony is organized at a grand hotel and affianced with all relatives and friends of the bride and groom but with the separated sitting arrangement. The groom may spend his time with his friends with all traditional songs. The couple could sit together with relatives and friends on the selected place.

The bridal dress in Saudi Arabia is known as Zaboun and yashmak. The dress is heavily embellished with silver thread. It is not necessary that dress should be in white, it might be in another variegated color. A bride can also wear a cloak with lower garment. Men attire a traditional dress with head gears., and wear a square scarf over head. But now a days trends are going to change one can wear western suits as well. Gastronomy, the meal of wedding, there is found a variety of meat dishes like Al-Kabsa made of rice and with red, white meat in a container. Chicken and lamb are also cooked with rice and barbecued in a deep hole of ground. A dish named saleeg also cooked with rice and milk is cooked until it becomes thick served with melted butter. The ceremony is concluded by the departure of the bride and groom from the wedding hall. At that time of leaving wedding hall agog with excitement.

Wedding celebration in Arab countries

The life we celebrate today has a lot to offer to so many persons. In fact, while I was still pondering on what celebration means to so many persons, it dawn on me that most persons, the word celebration simple means wedding celebration. Wedding as a form of celebration has its different forms of celebration styles, ceremonies and traditions. But, all these depends on the way at which these traditions, celebration styles and ceremonies are been appreciated by those who formulated these wedding ceremonies.

With the above in mind, I will like to start up by saying that, wedding celebration in Arab countries is indeed one event you should desperately intend to attend. To find out why, then I will love you to sit back, inhale, and exhale while putting in an undivided attention to the information that will be shared via this write up.

Music and Entertainment in a Wedding Ceremony in an Arabic Country:
One very notable attribute of a typical Arabic country wedding ceremony is the fact that you will observe a well fine tuned background music that is been produced by the duff player. Duff is an Arabic country musical instrument that produces melodies sounds. Furthermore, the songs that are sung by this duff player are solely challenged towards praises to the groom because the Arabic traditional originally recognize the man as the head of the home and as such they accord him the needed respect and privileges.

Apart from this, you will also observe some men finely dressed in military/war like ceremonial outfit with a ceremonial sword. Dancers are seen in strategic location - moving their bodies to the beat of the music as it is been produced by the duff player.

Arabic Wedding Ceremony Party Style:
Another very notable thing you need to consider is the fact that most of Arabic wedding ceremonies normally comes with lots of party which is pre arranged a day or two before the wedding ceremony proper. During this party time, the ladies are meant to have a separate room while the men are also intended to have a separate room in which they all hold their parties.

The wedding ceremonies are graced by guest, friends and well wishers. On arrival, guests are ushered in by family members of the groom while they are also given the traditional Arabian style of greeting which are a slight hugs and kisses.

Finally, guests head towards the groom in other to exchange pleasantries before heading forward to their sits to observe the wedding ceremony proper.

Trends of Saudi Arabia Fashion Show

Fashion is the area of activity that involves styles of clothing and appearance. Saudi Arabia has one of the most unique fashion shows in the world. Formally it was not known in the field of fashion show. Its fashion show gain popularity in May 5th 2012; when it held the first ever women fashion show. The show was of great impact since it highlighted the first ever biggest achievement made by Saudi Arabian women. The main area of focus was the women wears which were found out to be best suitable for a working class Saudi Arabian woman. During this fashion show, three types of dressings were exhibited, the first one was the outfit for casual business look, the second one was normal business look and the third one was the dressings for special occasions or events. After Saudi Arabians found the joy in fashion and show industry, many of fashions trends begun to grow across the country. Today, Saudi Arabia is one of the fashion show centers in Middle East. The other trend of fashion show which has also been growing in this country is the designers show. I think this is the shows that has attracted massive from other states. The shows are always full of designers from different counties around the world exhibiting their best designs. The next trend of Saudi Arabia fashion show which has also grown greatly is the trade show. This one has also interested many people from every corner of the world. It is a show where all of the industrial, scientific and agricultural exhibitions are displayed. Though the shows plays a big role in the economic development of a country, Saudi Arabian religious leaders are still against women modeling terming it as indecency and they want their government to ban it.

Saudi Ministry of Education and Educational Policy

The Saudi education system is mainly lead by the Ministry of Education, the General Organization for Technical Education and Vocational Training and the Ministry of Higher Education. Other establishments like the Presidency of the National Guard, the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Defense and Aviation offer their children and affiliates with education at every stage, steady with the Ministry of Education plans. The biggest authority supervising the educational system in Saudi Arabia in named the Supreme Committee for Educational Policy, formed in 1963.

According to the database of World Bank, the public spending on educational field is 6.8% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and spending on learning as the percentage of governmental expenses were 27.6% in 2004. Educational spending as overall expenditures was tripled from 1970 till 2000, and due to this fact, neither the price of oil reserves nor the economic growth had affected the trend.

The educational system of Saudi Arabia aims to make sure that the students will be ready for their lives and work in the latest world, along with participating in the country’s economic, religious and social needs. Another objective of their educational system is to eliminate the adult illiteracy from the country.

Normally, the educational system is divided into two major parts. First one is general education consisting of kindergarten stage where children get six years of primary schooling and then go to intermediate and high schools for three years.

After intermediate and elementary schooling, students can select whether they want to attend high schools with commerce programs, sciences and arts or go to vocational schools. In the high schools, student will give comprehensive exams two times in a year under the regulation of the Ministry of Education.

The Saudi Arabian educational curriculums are diverse. They involve various subjects like literature, Islam, history, math, science and Arabic. Their Ministry of Education makes special oversees and overall standards of education as well.

The government always makes efforts to improve their educational standards by providing best training plans for teachers, improvement programs for student evaluation and maximizing the use of technology for education.

For instance, twelve years back computer science was added as a subject in the secondary level of Saudi educational system. The authorities were also improved by providing provincial schooling boards to make higher decision making administration.

All these efforts are induced. Not just the quantity of schools has been increased considerably, but also the quality of educational standards. But still, their teacher-to-student ratio is just 12.5 which is one from the lowest all over the world.

Richness in Arab Countries

Resources are the wealth of a nation. They provide stability to a nation. It is through the resources and riches through which, you determine the state of a nation.

The Arab countries are very rich. The large natural gas and oil deposits in their countries and the clash between countries all over the world to gain access are the reasons, why the Arab countries are so rich. The ‘yalla’ (get going) energy that beats through the Arab world drives the region both into its past, and towards its future.

There are about 23 countries in the Arab world. However, this is an extreme misinterpretation or the world is in delusion about Arabs. The rich people in the Arab world are rulers such as the Kings and Emirs of Arab countries and not all Arabs are rich. This is the reality. The UAE and Qatar are ranked in the top most of the richest countries in the world. Qatar and the UAE both have highly developed economy.

The UAE is an oil and natural gas rich countries. The few reasons why UAE is one of the richest countries in the world and one of the richest Arab countries because of these oil and natural gas deposits, and tourism. The UAE is mainly the hottest destination for tourists all around the world. They had spent a lot to attract tourists to come and visit them. They recently spent on building artificial islands and beaches. Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world is in UAE.

Qatar was a poor country and has a very little population, less than a million. In 1940s, Qatar discovered the oil and natural gas that helped them a lot to have a highly developed economy. Qatar has now been named amongst the richest country in the world.

Kuwait also has 10% of the world’s total oil reserves and 80% of the government revenue comes for the export of oil. Kuwait has one of the fastest growing economies and is the second-most free economy in the Middle East.

The Arab countries are rich because they have discovered the large oil and natural gas reserves and deposits. Most of the Arab countries have no income tax and are one of the least taxed countries in the world. That is why they are the fastest growing economies in the world. Had oil and natural gas not been discovered by the Arabs, they’d still have been living the life of stone age.

Fatimah Kulsum is the princess of Saud Arabia. She is among the strongest women in the Arab world where women have been underrated for so many years. Princess Fatimah Kulsum has been very vocal especially on matters concerning women and she has pushed for some several women rights in Saudi Arabia. Her message is that women need to be educated and be armed with the appropriate information about issues related to women, among them being violence, emotional and psychological blemishes. She goes around encouraging women to join women’s groups and speak with one voice to end women discrimination, not only in Saudi Arabia and in the whole Arab world.

Traditional and Western Music of Saudi Arabia

Both traditional and western music is included in the music of Saudi Arabia. However, the traditional music of the Arab is restricted. The most ancient instrument of music is duff which is soft in delightful. The Arab possessed a remarkable memory and eloquent people. Their eloquence is found in their poetry.

Due to the migratory lifestyle of bedouin people they opposed to carry the musical instrument. In the basic tones of the music are made by clapping and slowly played music. Some o9f the music instruments like rhubarb and Ney to make rhythm. Although, there is found resemblance in the instruments of Arab and Western. But they have their own distinctive features. The most different musician, which has been recently added in the history of Arabian history. He had developed the industry of music widely and has composed many astounding themes and songs for himself and for his fellow beings. The name of that outstanding man is Tariq Abdul Hakeem, who contributed as a vital singer and musician. The singer of the national anthem has become the outstanding figure in the music industry.

For the first time in 1999, Arab torch bearers participated in the festival which was held in Cairo and promote the music of Saudi Arabia. Hence it is known that music is strictly prohibited in the religion of Islam. And Saudi Arabia is one of the conservative countries of the world. But now al Farabi is introducing new sounds to the land. He is using some music instrument with about voice and this kind of music is very much popular with the youngsters.

The music of al Farabi is famous and people are waiting for something new from him to delight their souls. Here are some characteristics of Arab music.

First and foremost thing, as I have mentioned earlier that al Farabi music is very much popular and have the quality of rhythm and depends upon the interval structure. The instruments that are use to create rhythm are “awozan”. Genre can be divided into categories according to the social context like urban for people of city and rural for the people of the countryside. The music of Arab has its own exotic flavor that cannot be found in any other region's music. An aesthetic person can enjoy this flavor.

Make up and Beauty in Saudi Arabia

All girls and women in Saudi Arabia like to take care of themselves.
They really like to look nice and invest as much as possible in makeup and other beauty products, to enhance even more their natural beauties. Most Saudi Arabia women like to use makeup that is not too strong as they believe the more natural the best. They are already naturally beautiful therefore make up is only there to add a few touch ups here and there. The trend in the country is to apply soft colors that are as near the skin tone as possible. This will make the makeup look soft yet beautiful.

In Saudi Arabia girls start to wear make up at an early age. Some start when they are as young as 14 years old. Some like to hide their natural features by applying layer after layer of foundationto make their skin look paler. Some girls, on the other hand, love to wear the smoky eye makeup, that way they believe they will call more attention and show their personalities to everyone. Many girls also love to wear false eyelashes as having long lashes is a desire in most countries. It is common for girls to gather up at night to show their latest trends in makeup. Creating the famous smoky eye effect is a must do there at the moment.

In fact Saudi Arabia women are one of the top consumers of beauty products in the whole world. Several studies have proven that. Thanks to the continuously growing economy more stores available every single day. Women in Saudi Arabia spend more money on hair products and beauty services per capita more than any other country in the Middle East. It is common to see on social networking women exchanging beauty tips. Twitter and Facebook have thousands of beauty tricks shared by Saudi Arabia women. Females in Saudi Arabia spend much more time in the saloon than they spend in other places to have fun, such as malls and theaters. Some women can spend as much as $250 dollars in one single visit to the hairdresser. This is a very interesting fact, since in one side we have thousands of girls and women who dream to look even prettier, and at the other side we have radical clerics saying that they are distorting what God’s most beautiful creating was supposed to look like.

Life of Women in Saudi Arabia

Life as a woman in Saudi Arabia is indeed one aspect of woman hood that comes with lots of up and down, regret and appreciation among other. With the above in mind, I will love to seize this medium to share with you some notable experience most ladies do face in Saudi Arabia.

To find out more, I will like you to seat back, inhale, exhale and say these words , “I will contribute my own quarter in ensuring that women in Saudi Arabia do experience the best life can offer”.

Freedom And a Typical Saudi Arabian Woman:
Freedom for women in Saudi Arabia is like a luxury that a typical Saudi Arabian woman do not have access to. This is possible because all things that a typical Saudi Arabian woman or those expats that are married to Saudi men do wish to enjoy, they most first seek the consent of their partner, guardian. Most times, these guardian of the woman tend to say no to the request of these women which is solely based on the fact that women should be given the much needed freedom before she abuse it.

This trend is stronger in a more conservative Saudi Arabian family. As in a liberal family, a Saudi Arabian lady would be encouraged to get involved in attaining educational qualification, selecting a life time partner, have access to regular travel permit among others. While the other tends to see these listed options as a luxury they just can’t have access to.

Guardian Privilege Security:
Another very notable fact that is so obvious in the life of a typical Saudi Arabian girl is the fact that they tend to be seen around moving with what is known as a guardian irrespective of their age, marital status or societal portfolio. The embarrassing factor of this trend is the fact that these women would be compelled to seek the permission of these guardians either publicly or privately before embarking on major activities.

It is worth noting that a typical Saudi woman do not have the legal right to drive a car as in fact they are assigned a drive who in most cases tend to be their guardian.

Finally, this Saudi Arabian female guardian would either be the woman’s husband, brother, or son.

Music of Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabian Music has both traditional music and the famous western music and has a tradition that is known to date back to the Roman era. There is not a lot that is said about traditional Saudi music and the knowledge about it is very limited. This probably has to do with the migratory lifestyle that was followed by the Bedouin and they were not in favor of carrying additional baggage with them. This meant that there were no specialized musical instruments that were used by the Bedouin and the everyday objects were used as musical instruments.

Some instruments like the stringed rababa or the double reeded ney were available in the country and Saudi people have used such instruments to make music. The instruments were not available in the rural areas and one has to come to the cities like Jeddah, Baghdad or Basrah to buy these instruments. The style of Arabian music is more built around the style that is very common among traditions that migratory and the use of instruments is very limited. Usually only one instrument is seen and the rhythm and beat is maintained by using objects that are used on an everyday basis in homes or by clapping the hands.

There has been a lot of debate over whether music is sinful or not in Islam. There are many Muslims who have believed that any forms of art or music are distractions and tend to take the people away from God. This belief is fueled by a certain ahadith which has mentioned about music and art being against God and that it should not be practiced. This had led to a strong clampdown of music in the early state of Saudi and the religious authorities repressed music and the use of any musical instruments. Only the rhythmic percussion was spared and probably that is why we get to see it used extensively in contemporary Saudi Music.
The most popular style of music in Saudi Arabia is khaleeji folk and there have been many famous musicians in the Saudi music history like Tariq Abdulhakeem, Mohammed Al-Senan , Ghazi Ali, to name a few. The Saudi National anthem has been composed by Saraj Omar and there are a lot of famous musicians and composers who have emerged from Saudi Arabia. Arabic Music channels are very popular across the globe and provide inspirations for a lot of composers worldwide. The growth of Saudi Music started when radios, tapes and CD players were introduced in the Saudi market and now almost all music shops in Saudi will be buzzing with activity as music has gained an important place in the lives of the Saudi citizen.

Women in Saudi Arabia Politics

A Saudi Arabian woman is a person who has never had any say, she has been neglected, mistreated and her rights violated for years. She has never had any role to play in the development of her country. She has never been allowed to drive, move independently in the public or work closely with men. Her life has never been easy; she has been doomed and pushed to the wall where she cannot move any longer.
At this position, she cried loudly and her voice was heard by the whole world. Due to her consistence crying, the world governing bodies pressured her oppressors to grant her rights. After women’s rights were granted, they began to get involved actively in politics. King Abdullah became the first Saudi Arabian king to appoint a total of 30 women in Shura council. The council was formally occupied by all men. Because of the whole world fight for women’s rights in this county, the king had no option but to make the appointment. He only made this appointment after a thorough consultation with religious leaders. Today, out of 150 members of Shura council, fifth of them are women.

What is the role of women in this council? Women were appointed in this council to act as advisers. They are to give advice during the making of important decisions which are intended to be moving the country forward. Though they have a role to play in the government, their public participation is still minimal. Women are also allowed to vote in Saudi Arabia politics.
The law allows them to vie for various posts in the municipal elections. This was a memorable change in the governorship of Saudi Arabia. The law also gives women full rights to enjoy their privileges. They are able to work freely in public offices and perform various duties which modern women all over the world do these days. There is also a special seat for women in Shura council. This has been a motivating factor for Saudi Arabia women who have had interest in politics. In the Shia committee, which consists of four members, one of them is a woman. Though the women are now publicly involved in Saudi Arabia politics, some of the Saudi Arabians are still against it. Since these changes, women have been experiencing pressures from social media about their involvement in politics. The good news is that they have been able to withstand it.

Women in Saudi Arabia Politics

Saudi Arabia is the name of the strictest country for women. Women have only minimum rights here. But with the advancement of women from all over the world Saudi women are also forwarding their steps. They are now also very much concerned about their rights and duties to the country.

11 January, 2013 was one of the greatest days for the Saudi women. King Abdullah is well-known for his relatively moderate views on women’s roles in society and politics. In 2011, he announced that women would be appointed to the Shura Council and that women would also be able to run and vote in the country’s 2015 municipal elections. He is on his words. On 11 January 2013, Saudi King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz issued a historic decree by allowing the Saudi women to be the members of the Kingdom’s Shura Council for the first time in Saudi history which was previously an all-male council. The decree amended the council’s law to ensure that women would make up no less than 20 percent of the country’s 150-members council going forward. The king appointed 30 women to join the consultative assembly. So, Saudi Arabian women have political rights now.

The decree was welcomed by all the women of Saudi Arabia. Saudi women’s rights advocate and one of the new Shura Council’s members, Thuraya Arrayed said in her interview to Al Arabiya News that the decree would give confidence to women to take part in important decision-making matters in the country.
She also said that they were not there to represent themselves but to represent the public and women and men alike. She expected that the decision would open the doors for qualified women to take part in all fields and not just in politics but in all areas.

The absence of women in the past from the Saudi’s Shura Council made the Saudi people unaware about the particular viewpoint to women because there was no one else who introduced with women’s lives and their problems or the critical situations. Only a woman can understand the women’s problems and sufferings. So, the new decision, the appointment of Saudi women to Shura Council, is the best thing that ever happened to Saudi women’s history. Now, the female members of the council should try to change the image of women in Saudi society. They should try to make the women aware about their rights and responsibilities.

Why There is So Much Richness in Arab countries

Minerals resources are the major factors that lead to economic development of a county. Arab countries are well known to be the world highest producers of oil. It is this oil that has made them to join the list of the top riches counties in the world. What are the possible reasons why there is so much richness in Arab countries? The most beloved reason for this is the oil field. These countries have the biggest oil field in the world. They produce millions of oil barrens in just a single day. We all know that oil is the precious mineral that a county can wish to have. Due to this, they have been able to export oil to the rest of the world. The big number of barrens they export has been a weakening factor of the US dollar on their favor. Their currencies have gain strength. This has enabled them to have a stable economic status. The second reason behind Arab counties richness is creativeness. Arabs are the most creative people I have never thought of; they become the first people to build a city that floats on water. This is a city that has attracted many tourists from all over the world.

Arabs have not only surprised the world by building a city that floats on water, but also build the tallest building in the world. They build the first ever glass building that reaches the cloud. The building has attracted many Hollywood actors and actress who have acted several movies in. Kennedy Center is another wonder which has made Arab counties that rich. This is a music and festival center which offers a variety of exhibitions. The first ever biggest festival held here consistyed of 800 performing artist. There is no any other county in the world which has hosted a festival with a total of 800 artists performing. Kennedy Center has a marvelous interior of all Arab architectural designs. The other reason that makes all that richness in Arab counties is their rich culture. They have the riches culture in the world. Their mode of celebration is beyond ordinary person’s understanding. Besides that, they have the best tourist destination centers in the world, let takes for example the Egyptians Pyramids, these pyramids have been a tourist attraction for most of the people in the planet earth. These are just a sample of the reasons that make Arab countries that rich. There are more to talk of these counties.

Saudi Love and Marriages

Saudi Arabia is the only country of the world, where most marriages are arranged. They arrange marriages are mostly done in the Middle East, Africa and Asia. People, who come from those countries where arrange marriage system is existed, they also continue to promote this tradition.
Marriages are classified in three categories arranges, love or forced. An arrange marriage is done, when the representative of the family or a matchmaker introduce the male and female for the intention of getting married. However, both the man and the woman have the right of showing acceptance about the proposal. The procedure is simple to adopt and have the positive way to bind the male and female into a new relationship because young genders always stand out against this decision of marriage.
Both the couples agree to enter into the contract with the hope of starting their new life with new hopes of love and affection. They usually concern with the matchmaker to find the proper partner to spend a more happy and comfortable life.

The negative aspect of such marriages is that they are sometimes done by forcefully without the consent of the man and woman. Both the couples are forced to do so because a lot of pressure is build by the families and do not care about the emotions of the male and female. The result of such marriages is abused and ultimately ends in divorce.

The other options, which are not very common in Saudi Arabia, are the Love marriages. Love marriages are coming naturally to a man and a woman but in Eastern culture marriages are done and relations are started without the intermediary involvement of both the families is taken as against the cultural values and ethics.

The concept of arranging marriage is trying to develop in western culture like Australia but they are not ready to accept the proposal and not willing to act according to the concept of the marriage. Marriages are weather done o arrange or love, it should be done with the consent of both male and female, so that they can start their life happily and never force their wrong decision on the families. The concept of marriage differs in all part of the world and even in some western part, the concept of marriage is going to decreased and they started to fulfill their sexual needs with mutual agreement.

Saudi Education System and Its Growth

The education system of Saudi Arabia has gone through an amazing change after the kingdom was established in 1932. Education was only available for a few people, who were wealthy and living in the major parts of the country. Today, the education system is based on 8 private and 24 public universities with around 25ooo schools and also consists of other institutions and colleges. Now, the education is available for all the public with free books, education and health services.

The trend of conservative mentality has changed a little and they are opting the modern education system in the country to compete with the world. This diversifying trend prepares the citizen to take their active role in all fields of life and will change the current scenario of lavish and relax mentality of the people. The Quran and the teachings of the Holy Prophet Mohammad (P.B.U.H) always forced the people to get as much education as they could and emphasizes the importance of the education.

After the origin of Islam in 632 AD, Muslims formed schools, colleges and universities that were different at that time in the world. When Europe was considered in the dark ages and there is no culture of education, the Islamic world become a center of learning and making great efforts in the field of science, astrology, art, philosophy and medicine, which resembles that Islam is always in favor of education.

The methods, which were followed later by the Europe, all were invented by the Muslim Scholar and Scientists and all that was the forts of Muslim scholars. Now, the scenario is different and Muslims are very far in the competition of education and learning of modern techniques. The whole planning of keeping them behind the race was done with planning.
The primary education was set up in the year of 1932 in Saudi Arabia. In 1945, the founder of the country King Abdul-Aziz bin Abdur Rehman had encouraged a lot by introducing an extensive program of schools in the kingdom. Six years later, the efforts started to grow and there were 226 schools with the total of 29,887 students.

The First University with the name of the King Saud University was formed in Riyadh in 1957. The Ministry of education was built in 1954 and then the ministry of higher education in the year 1975. The first government school for girls was established in 1964 and by the end of 1990s, girls schools were established in every part of the country. Today, the education level is almost equal between males and females.

Princess Fatimah Kulsum has dedicated her life to charitable organizations. Most of the activities undertaken by these organizations have one major aim and that is to improve the conditions of women in Saudi Arabia and the Arab world as a whole. She goes around encouraging women to join women’s groups and speak with one voice to end women discrimination, not only in Saudi

Saudi Arabia Fashion Clothes

Saudi Arabia has several typical clothes that can only be found in Middle East countries. Clothes and fashion in general are incredibly different when it comes to men and women. Their clothes are nothing like the clothes people wear in North America or even South America.
The country is dictated by conservatives; therefore clothes for both men and women should be as conservative. If you are a foreigner travelling in Saudi Arabia, beware! You will not have to follow the same rules residents follow, however it is expected the due respect from you. If you are a visitant make sure you dress as properly as much as possible especially in public locations, such as stores, parks and others.
That will ensure you are respectful to everybody in the country. If you are a man travelling in Saudi Arabia you are expected to wear long pants and shirts that cover torso well. As for women, they are expected to wear loose skirts that are long enough to cover past the knees. Short sleeves are not allowed, the minimum size for sleeves are a couple inches down the elbow. It is also important to keep the chest area well covered. Show as little as possible. The less you show the more you will be respecting.

Traditional businessman wear traditional white clothes called thobe. This is a dress like suit only fit for important men. There are several different kinds of thobes, some can even be worn by boys and men during hot weather. Women in Saudi Arabia are supposed to hide even more. For instance they have to wear a long and black cloak like vest called the abayah. This cloak like vest prevents people from seeing their faces and body. They can see through a web like part that is also black that is located where their eyes are. Women from Saudi Arabia are not supposed to show their hair nor face, especially if they are close to men that they do not know or that do not share any close relations to. Even though women are supposed not to show themselves in public they always invest in the way they look like. They love bright colors and light materials. They usually wear beautiful clothes under the abayah, that way they still feel beautiful and take pride in respecting the local religion. Therefore Saudi Arabia have an unique style, for either men and women.

Saudi Arabia Economy and Business Today

Saudi Arabia is the biggest nation of Middle East and Asia. With more than 30 million people Saudi Arabia saw its economy simply have a boom in growth over the last few years. Most economic activities that happen in the country are controlled by the government. The country has its economy mostly based in oil-production companies. In fact Saudi Arabia is one of the countries that has the largest amounts of oil in the whole world. The country is also the world’s largest oil exporter. The country has more than 6 million people working overseas, thanks to several oil and other service sectors.

The country also counts with several foreign people that invest on it. The country is expanding, therefore many people find it a great place to invest their money on. The oil price boom occurred during the years 2004 to 2008, when the population of the country, together with several authorities created plans to expand the economy and increase the overall quality of the country for the population. In 2009, however, things did not continue to grow as fast as they had from 2004 to 2008, therefore the economy was forced to slow down a bit. This still did not prevent Saudi Arabia to continue being one of the richest countries of the Middle East and Asia.

The government is also investing in expanding the market for general stores, such as for beauty and clothing related articles. Most women in Saudi Arabia spend hundreds of dollars every single month in order to enhance their natural beauty. The government then is investing in the creation of new malls and stores, that way women will be able to spend more and make the economy go farther. For more than 50 years the country is slowly growing, giving a step at a time. At some moments the country is able to grow faster, in others they go a little bit slower. Either way there are no plans, nor concrete signals that the economy of the country is anywhere near breaking.

Another thing that is still making the economy grow is agriculture. This was the main way income of the population of the country for many years. The industry is growing and providing people several job posts. It is also interesting to remember that most of the country’s work force is made of foreigners and not actual Saudi Arabians. They come from all over Middle East to try for a better life in this growing country.
