Saudi Arabian wedding celebration

The Saudi Arabian wedding celebration is poles apart from the weddings we see in movies and in the western world. The celebrations are based entirely on Islamic  rules and laws. Being an Islamic country direct proposal for marriage is forbidden. Eshofa Eshreya may be used in the selection of partners. The term Eshofa Eshreya signify a process in which a girl and boy see each other to decide that whether they will like to marry each other.
Saudi wedding ceremonies start around 9pm. The wedding ceremonies are celebrated in two halls. One for the men  and second for the women. You must be guessing that if the wedding is celebrated in two different halls then how the bride and groom see each other. The close relatives and the groom are allowed to enter in the women's hall but all the women should be covered in Abaya. When the close relatives of groom enter in the women's hall, the bride and groom start walking to the wedding cake, all the wedding guests move out of the way and look in advance, at the bride and groom.
