There is also unlimited access to sun and sea. The beaches are spectacular and there are wide open spaces with an abundance of greenery for all to enjoy. A number of American women have expressed that, contrary to popular beliefs, the city of Dubai allows them to be themselves and they feel safer being in Dubai than in others big cities that they have been to in the past. Dubai residents and visitors alike are left alone because of the culture of mutual respect and as long as local customs and values are upheld and respected, there will be no problems. The chauvinism of the Western world as it relates to women being self-sufficient has not been the experience of the majority of American women living in Dubai. Conversely, women in business in Dubai have the respect and admiration of their male counterparts.
