Dubai cosmopolitan culture and Languages

Dubai has a cosmopolitan culture and attributes a great deal of importance to its tourism industry and as a result, there is the existence of a number of different languages in Dubai. The city has a thriving tourism industry in which multilingual knowledge is required. In addition, there is a large number of individuals from nationalities all over the world that have chosen to relocate to Dubai, which has resulted in a diverse population that has a melting pot of languages and cultures. Due to these realities, there is a variety of languages spoken in Dubai. On any given day, individuals from every social class and continent can be seen walking the streets of Dubai. With this level of diversity, language is among the small number of unifying factors and as a consequence, just about every resident of Dubai speaks and understands some version of the English language. In addition, pretty much all information signs such as road signs are in Arabic and English and the latter is spoken  widely, especially within the hospitality industry.
