Quality of Family planning programs in middle East

Family planning is identified as a very critical services for the health of women and their children. It can also be a pathway against poverty and improve the quality of the country's development goals. Contraception is one of the family planning services which most women in the Arab region preferred.

According to a national survey in the region, most married woman prefer to avoid pregnancy, and are using a family planning method, while other woman avoid pregnancy for at least two years but not using a family planning method. And these women are at risk of having unintended pregnancies. Pregnancies like these can damage the health and well being of woman, and oftenly a great burden against the health systems and socioeconomic goals of the country.

In the Middle East region, women are experiencing such unintended pregnancies for various reasons like lack of access to a effective contraceptive method while other women cannot decide for themselves. They are prone to social pressure from their family members or husbands, and become pregnant.
