Life of an expat woman in UAE

The term UAE, to most of western people and the rest of the world that is not part of the domain, sends shivers down the spins of a good number of individuals who barely no nothing about the general life of UAE. Expat women from outside UAE have had to answer hoards of perplexing questions regarding how they cope with life in this men dominated region. Frankly speaking, the stereotype surrounding the general life of a woman or to be precise an expat woman in UAE is by greater heights overwhelming. Majority of the world view life in UAE as being highly oppressive especially in the contest of women.
There is no smoke without fire. This is very true. Some of the things that happen to women in UAE as claimed by other people are true. For example, there are some things that a woman is regarded inferior to do. A good example is when a certain bank in UAE orders women not to open bank accounts for their children and also women not being able to make expensive purchases in the family. In addition, women are also provided with their own private taxis, meaning, in UAE women and children are not supposed to use taxis that are specially meant for men.
This sounds like total oppression to women, but how wrong can one be, if he or she clings to such backward reasoning. The scope of respect accorded to women leave alone expat women in UAE is by far commendable. Women are accorded extra care and respect in this other world than the majority may know. For instance, if you walk into any banking hall, you are most likely to find only men in queues or if necessary a small queue separate for women. Women in UAE are never allowed to queue for services with their male counterparts and so are expat women.
Unlike in western countries, it is only in UAE that you will find dedicated metro carriages for women and children only leave alone their private taxis. Generally speaking, the life of an expat woman is greatly enhanced through the traditions and culture in UAE than any other part of the world.
