What is the Common Dress Code in Saudi Arabia?

Saudi Arabia is one of the most tightly controlled countries in the world, and holds one-fourth of the world’s oil reserves. Home of the two most holy places in Islam, Mecca and Medina, it is ruled by the House of Saud since its recognition in 1932. It has a prosperous society due mainly to oil exports.
Being an Arab and an Islamic country, traditional values and cultural practices are adapted into the legal prohibitions, which is applicable even to non-Muslims who are in Saudi Arabia. Non-Muslims are forbidden from publicly practicing their faith, although they are free to do so in the privacy of their own homes. Alcoholic beverages and pork products are prohibited. Foreigners are expected to follow local custom especially in public places. Dress should be in accordance with Islamic laws, and is closely monitored by the religious police who are responsible for the enforcement of the dress code.
Saudi men wear the traditional dress called “thobe” that cover the entire body with a checkered head cloth called “keffiyeh.” This flowing robe-like traditional dress is worn white- or light-colored in warm weather and dark-colored in cool weather. Regardless of occupation and social standing, all Saudi men wear a “thobe.”  A “thobe” and head covering may seem to be lot clothing, but they are ideal for Saudi Arabia’s dry climate, and as a protection from sandstorms.
Women must not wear clothes that reveal anything about her body. They wear in public the black-colored, full-body “abaya” and the black headpiece called “niqab” which covers the entire face and body, leaving a small slit opening for the eyes.
Although foreign men are not required to wear a “thobe” and a headdress, they must wear conservative clothes. The standard dress code for foreign men is long trousers and long-sleeved shirts. Foreign women are required to wear an “abaya” with or without a headpiece. Although the wearing of a headpiece is optional, it is better to bring one along to avoid harassment from the religious police or as a means of avoiding the attention of aggravated men.

Saudi Arabia is moving towards Modernization

The kingdom of Saudi Arabia is known by many around the world as a kingdom that observe certain culture due to their religion such as job specification between men and women. There are jobs which are described to be for men and other women, one of these jobs is supermarket cashiers who are all women. This is changing slowly and the government is determined to change the opinion of the public. Women are not supposed to drive.
Further steps to modernize the Kingdom such as University where male and female students share the same class have been done by King Abdullah. He also gave a green light to media to openly raise concern on economic problems and criticize decisions made by the ruling council. Women were allowed to pursue higher degrees and compete for top jobs. Those who opposed his decision were fired.
King Abdullah gained control of fatwas and answers to any question will be given by official panel on how the Saudis are supposed to live. Independent Sheiks among them Sheik Adel Al-kalbani have been in record in challenging the ban of music arguing that as long as a song does not promote sin the there is no need to ban it from playing in the local medias.
They also eliminated Trans-border Migration and large scale importation of labor which has helped to the youth to be employed in the private sectors. Many cities of the kingdom are in urban area.
In 2007 Grand Mufti urged the youth not to join jihad in Iraq or any other country. The kingdom was under attack consistence attacks from the Al-Qaeda but the clerics never accepted or approved the “Holy War”.
Free media is among the key area that Saudi Arabia is using in moving to modernization, top official Sheikh Saleh lost his job as the Chief of the supreme Judiciary Council after a fatwa in 2008 where he said that the owners of TV stations that showed immoral content to the public should be killed. His firing was seen as due to influence of the billionaires who own the TV stations. The most important thing is that Saudi Arabia is opening up it is not like old days.

Online Forex Trading in Dubai

Forex (FX) is by definition, the market in which trade of currencies will occur. Of all the markets in the world, the Forex market is by and large the most liquid of the markets. Forex is inclusive of all the currencies of the world and sees a figure of over $1.9 trillion being traded on a day to day basis. This makes it the largest market on an international level, based on the level of money that exchanges hand every day, in every country and by a vast amount of firms and individuals. There is no main place in which a trade will occur. Forex is one of the few trading avenues that almost never sleep, having exchanges being done 24 hours a day and five days a week. Trade in done is financial centers such as London, New York and Tokyo.
Due to its liquidity and the fact that so much money and varying currencies constitute the Forex market, many are trying to become a part of the market by doing trading online. This is vastly popular across the globe, even in Dubai. What this involves is the buying and selling of orders for financial securities and currencies through the use of the broker’s internet based trading platform. This form of Forex trading became increasingly popular in the mid to late 90’s. There is generally no limitation on what can be traded. Stocks, currencies, bonds, futures and options can all be a traded via the internet.
Online Forex trading in Dubai has become more and more popular over the years, with even the introduction of an online academy that will teach students in Dubai and by extension the middle east how trading works. This has opened up the door for the residents of Dubai. By engaging in Forex trading online, especially after gaining knowledge on the do’s and don’ts, they are able to build their finances and trade major currencies of the world. There are many companies that offer a platform for trading. From the wide array of options, an individual can pick, choose and refuse where they would like to do their trading and what option suits them best. These sites and companies offer a level of protection and guidance for both the new comers and the seasoned Forex traders alike.
Dubai has seen a very noticeable growth in the Forex trading market, especially online. What with all the individuals that want to get a piece of the trillion dollar pie? It is far easier now than in days gone by with the increasing access to affordable technology. There are many platforms through which it can be done but one has to be very careful in choosing. World's third laziest nation, Saudi Arabia

It can be shocking news to hear that Saudi Arabia is among the nations that are laziest regardless of the fact that it is known to have plenty of natural resources. World wide, Saudi Arabia has been shortlisted to be among the top three slothful nations. Also, research shows that over sixty percent of grown up people in Saudi Arabia neglect doing exercise which are important to physical healthy growth. In turn, we all know that an active body and a healthy one will motivate the person to work hard and not just desire to always sit down and relax. That is called laziness.
According to a certain published data, in Saudi Arabia you will find out that a very small percentage of people especially women stay active all the way through their life span. Why? We all know that in this kingdom females have limited access to their rights.
The fact that Saudi Arabia is rich in natural  resources has highly contributed towards the laziness of locals who reside there. Everyone does not struggle to put a meal on a table and this turns persons mean to be dormant. But regardless of the fact that Saudi Arabia is rich in natural wealth should not make its people to sit  back and become lazy. Like for women, why should they just concentrate with household works and once they are done all the other hours of the day they are just idle. I think Saudi kingdom should come to a point of making a decision and come up with several activities which will make the people of the land be active always and stop being lazy. Remember, laziness can lead to certain ailments and also, as the saying goes “ a idle and lazy mind/body is the devils workshop”
Saudi kingdom, let's work on eliminating the famous laziness.

Saudi Arabian women unveiled, Muslim Young Girls

As we all know that Saudi Arabian women live under a certain law based on their tradition and religion. Americans has known a lot in Saudi Arabia and as it is known to be the best leading land for natural resources especially petroleum, this fact lead most outsiders to engage themselves with Saudi for trade.
The only thing that worries and catches attention of the United States of America when it comes to trading with Saudi Arabians especially with Saudi Arabian women if the freedom differences for these ladies. At the level of the gut, this not only bothers United States but it bothers all people worldwide. It hurts to come across women who lack freedom and their rights regardless of whether it be their believe to their kingdom. But to Saudi Arabia it is hard to come across unveiled women because at the very early age they are trained to be always on the long sleeved veil.
As a Saudi Arabian woman there is a possible to free yourself from any kind of slavery and wake up your fellow women. Not all women in Saudi Arabia are still connected to veil tradition. There are some who were born into this and were raised in the culture but at some point they decide to stand firm on their feet and now they are free and can do all things women of other countries are doing including car driving which has been forbidden for Saudi Arabian women. Find Saudi Arabian women unveiled and you will wonder why do they veil themselves hiding all their beauty. We can all come together and help our fellow women to come out such slave.
There are more challenges facing Saudi Arabian women but once one see a chance to disconnect themselves from it, life is more mobile and more enjoyable. Saudi Arabia women unveiled can really do a lot. They can be reliable and start their own businesses, own their own cars and drive them without mans security and can achieve much in life. All needed for Saudi Arabian women is freedom for their rights and success will follow and changed women will be seen.

The most outstanding feature of the Arab countries is the Arabic language spoken by the citizens of the Arab countries. Also the Islamic religion is the most uniting factor after the Arabic language amongst the Arab countries.  This the brings out the standard definition of the Arab countries .The underlying  definition being an Arab is any person speaking Arabic  language and living  in an Arab speaking -country.

The majority of these countries lie in Africa and Europe specifically the Middle –East countries and a few in the Asian continent mainly bordering the Gulf of Eden on Indian Ocean. Muslim cleric impose some rules to women's clothing , is the imposition of Kew in different ways in different countries, the country's eastern and western has been interpreted - male humility that cover areas from the navel to the knee , and for women generally seen as covering everything except their face , hands and feet when they are in the presence of these men are not related or married. However , there has been a lot of discussion , as that among Muslim scholars whether this goes far enough. This has led to the distinction between the hijab (literally " covering up " in Arabic ) and the niqab (meaning " full veil " ) .
Muslim scholar and discussed both on and having to wear the niqab , or whether it is advisable only without obligatory. There were also humility Basie more liberal set forth in the Koran.
Addresses the sacred text " women believers " who are said to protect their private parts and not to display their adornment " except what is apparent of it." Scientific controversies revolve around what this last phrase means . They do not refer to the outer surface of women's clothing , which requires that they cover every part of her body , without any full veil ? Or it does not give exemption and referred to the face and hands , as well as traditional female ornaments : such as kohl , rings, bracelets and make-up ?

Lifestyle of the Unemployed in Dubai

Even though the unemployment rate is very low in Dubai, there are individuals who do not have jobs. Typically, migrant workers who are from the sub-continent or Dubai nationals are the ones out of work and there is virtually no cases of unemployment among Westerners living in this flourishing city that offers a tax-free way of living.
The lifestyle of the unemployed in Dubai will be dependent on a number of factors. For example, nationals who have attained a certain standard of living and have a financial cushion that can maintain them for a little while will be less frantic as it relates to getting a new job. However, foreign workers have a one-month time frame in which to secure employment before their visa sponsorship expires.
The 30-day deadline makes for a stressful job hunt and in order to be successful at getting a new job, these individuals are required to be very resourceful and active, personally sending applications to a number of different companies, seeking assistance from recruitment companies and talking to associates and former colleagues about possible vacancies at their places of employment. If the reason for job loss is not because of bad performance, the former employer should be supportive of the job seeking endeavours.
It is a lot easier to find a job in Dubai than in a lot of other countries and there is the potential for greater rewards in Dubai. However, the social security system for foreign workers is very far from being comprehensive. Foreigners who live in Dubai can access their medical facilities but unlike many big cities around the world, there are no unemployment benefits or any similar benefits for individuals living in Dubai. In the event of a job loss, the individual is left in a situation in which he or she must simply start the process of looking for a new job.

SAUDI WOMEN DRIVING PROTEST

On the bright day of October 26th 2013, a beacon of hope enlightened the realms of Saudi Arabia. Hope that touted that ban on women drivers may well finally cease to exist.
The reason? More than 60 Saudi women stood up and got behind the wheels of their cars so as to assert themselves as an important part of the society. Many activists reported that this was the first time that Saudi women came together to “stir the stagnant waters” (13 videos and another 50 phone messages were received in this regard) and purported that it is time to change the law against women drivers in the kingdom.
It all started with 16,600 signatures on an online petition that spread like a wildfire on various social media platform. Millions of twitter users and Facebook fans were put to the use giving a whole new and an unprecedented dimension to the wind of change that brought the message “recognizing the rights of women to drive a car in accordance with the principles of Sharia and traffic laws” is of utmost importance.
Video of women driving cars were uploaded to the YouTube evincing that women are yearning for the long awaited change in Saudi society. While this movement found many staunch supporters from all over the globe, still some powerful clerics termed this protest as "licentiousness". Some of them raised eyebrows with statement that says that driving a car harms a woman's ovaries.
Amid all this protest and counter-protest, one thing is clear that women of Saudi Arabia are now ready to foster a society that will treat women at par with men, a society that will suppress disparity of sexes and safeguard the rights of one and all, a society that will not be marred by blinkered thinking but be embellished by fruits of equality.

Telecommunications in the United Arab Emirates

United Arab Emirates (UAE) was one of the first Arab countries to begin a comfortable relationship with foreigners. The UAE began seeking investments, commercial relations and methods of telecommunications. Telecommunication is a means of communicating over long distances using different methods of technology. Compared globally, the UAE were 59th to install landline telephones and they were in the 61st position investing in mobile phones.
Telecommunications in the United Arab Emirates is controlled by the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) who works to regulate information communications and telecommunications. As an independent corporation they maintain sustainability by providing telecom services to all provinces of the country as well as by controlling the services provided to the customers and shareholders. The service providers follow rules and regulations set by the TRA and UAE.
Broadcasting media systems (i.e. televisions and radios) are not as commonly had as telephones in the Emirate. The broadcasting systems are used generally by the government only.
The internet is allowed but is tightly monitored; many sites are banned and access is restricted when trying to open any Israeli internet domain; the TRA is protecting political information and preventing any unmoral behaviour. For this reason, according to Reporters without Borders, the URA is “Under Surveillance”.
The United Arab Emirates attempts to infiltrate advanced and modern technologies into their country. The infrastructure of telecommunications has evolved since the TRA became established in 2003. Until just recently the only telecom broadcaster was Etisalat but now Du is also a competitor. The United Arab Emirates boasts a new system in the Middle East; the newest ICT technology hosts a whole new spectrum of a monitoring system. It holds its place as the second most powerful in the world and it will span the area of the UAE effectively. Today, the UAE holds a respectable position among the countries of the world.

How to pick women's luxury sleepwear?

Like other dresses women are very choosy, while selecting sleepwear. In general women blindly go after the brands and subsides the significance of the quality, size and ease. No matter how much expansive your luxury nightwear is if it does not fit in well, it is of no use. Some key considerations, while choosing and buying the sleepwear are as follows;
Fabric: Just ask yourself that why you are buying a sleepwear. The answer will be, to have a sound and relaxed night. The fabric which is itchy and prickly is not recommended. Top fabrics for the women's luxury sleepwear are cotton, fleece, flannel, silk, velour and satin. Among all, cotton is the best option. If you want to add some spice in your romantic life then satin  and silk sleepwear is a viable choice.
Fit and style: This is  an important thing to decide while  buying a sleepwear. Generally once a woman is buying a nightwear she usually do not try it then and there. Similarly style  is also an important factor if you want to add some more romance in the life.
Most of the women s forgets the importance of what they are wearing inside the sleepwear. A costly and a gown of the highly reputed brand will be of no use if you are not wearing frivolous undergarment. So pick the undergarments that match your luxury sleepwear and fits your figure well.

Life of an expat woman in UAE

The term UAE, to most of western people and the rest of the world that is not part of the domain, sends shivers down the spins of a good number of individuals who barely no nothing about the general life of UAE. Expat women from outside UAE have had to answer hoards of perplexing questions regarding how they cope with life in this men dominated region. Frankly speaking, the stereotype surrounding the general life of a woman or to be precise an expat woman in UAE is by greater heights overwhelming. Majority of the world view life in UAE as being highly oppressive especially in the contest of women.
There is no smoke without fire. This is very true. Some of the things that happen to women in UAE as claimed by other people are true. For example, there are some things that a woman is regarded inferior to do. A good example is when a certain bank in UAE orders women not to open bank accounts for their children and also women not being able to make expensive purchases in the family. In addition, women are also provided with their own private taxis, meaning, in UAE women and children are not supposed to use taxis that are specially meant for men.
This sounds like total oppression to women, but how wrong can one be, if he or she clings to such backward reasoning. The scope of respect accorded to women leave alone expat women in UAE is by far commendable. Women are accorded extra care and respect in this other world than the majority may know. For instance, if you walk into any banking hall, you are most likely to find only men in queues or if necessary a small queue separate for women. Women in UAE are never allowed to queue for services with their male counterparts and so are expat women.
Unlike in western countries, it is only in UAE that you will find dedicated metro carriages for women and children only leave alone their private taxis. Generally speaking, the life of an expat woman is greatly enhanced through the traditions and culture in UAE than any other part of the world.

Health seeking behaviour patterns attest to this. However, it is essential to find away systems that can penetrate the socio-cultural lifestyle of this population. Below are some the case scenarios that require urgent and integrated reproductive health policies and solutions are:
 1) Family Planning Services: It is a fact that women living in this area do not have a say on family planning. Women often are regarded as sex and birth beings. This is to the detrimental of their health as they do not have a right to access reproductive health services without consent of their husbands. To deal with issue there is a need for interactive forum where all the opinion leaders from health, civic and religious divide to discuss openly and adopt workable solutions that will improve women’s health. Apart from the Family Planning, other areas that require intervention are Maternal Health Care and Child Health Care amidst the reproductive healthcare services.
 2) Youth reproductive health initiatives: It cannot be denied that, despite strict cultural principles the youths will tend to sway away from the norms. Most of the youths are affected as they are not able to seek for timely medical intervention due to social stigma. This exposes the youths to diseases such as Sexually transmitted diseases (STD) and cancers. Also, self induced abortions that endangers the life of the young girls. The potential of such young population requires a comprehensive reproductive health initiative that will target this important segment of Middle East population.
It is worth to note that without sound policies on, sexuality and reproductive health, in the Middle East, most of the global development and public health objectives such as millennium development goals are far from being realized.
.

Sexuality and Reproductive Health in the Middle East

Sexual and reproductive health has a wide ambit consisting of health related issues regarding sexual relationships, pregnancies and births. As it deals with most private aspect of an individual’s life it is not considered appropriate in Middle East to talk openly about sex and other related issues. Since being a region dominated by Islamic teachings it does not promote sexual awareness hence not many people in Middle East are aware of the sexuality and reproductive health issues. One of the five people in the Middle East is in age group of 15-24. Surprisingly, young people’s reproductive health issue is not included in the health agendas.
These people in Middle East are living their lives differently from their ancestors. They are getting sexually mature enough pretty earlier by which they have sexual relationships before marriage. Such sexual relationships in early age puts them at a high risk of sexually transmitted infections, unwanted pregnancies, unsafe abortions and many other issues. On the other hand, socially acceptable relations like marrying at early age is also significantly high in Middle East with girls getting married in this age mainly due to religious and family pressure. This makes them more susceptible to large number of health related issues throughout their lives. Due to lack of knowledge these girls do not use family planning until they give birth to first child.
Number of people with having HIV in Middle East is growing. Regions like Middle East are still those are of the world where sexuality and reproductive health issues are ignored. Particularly, youth of this region should have idea about what sexuality and reproduction health is all about. Teaching at schools should be necessary. Media should also promote awareness among the people.

Saudi Arabia World's Third Laziest Nation?

Not one of the finest moments for the people of Middle East, sedentary or what sometimes is called as “deskbound” phenomena has engulfed a majority of population of Saudi Arabia, 68.8% to be exact. These results are based on an extensive research done by The Lancet Medical Journal which took into account 122 nations around the globe for the study of pandemic called inactiveness. The study showed that Saudi Arabia has an astounding 68.8% of sloth population that are now venerable to maladies like obesity, high blood pressure, coronary heart disease, type 2 diabetes etc. thanks to the lack of any major physical activity in day to day life.
This might sound bad but the worst part is yet to come. Experts purport that 5.3 million people lost their lives due to inactivity, which is same as deaths due to use of tobacco, making these statistics of graver concern in relation to the modern times.
What are the causes that pushed the people of Saudi Arabia into the abyss of sedentary? Well, a major contributor to this malevolent habit is the technology-integrated, lax-laced lifestyle of Middle Eastern people. Pick and drop services for practically anything and anywhere, lack of awareness along with subjugation of female populace to choose healthy habits and pecuniary edge over most of the nations to afford any luxury, has left the people of Saudi Arabia is a big lurch as far as their heath issues are concerned.
So how can these disasters be averted? For adults, to keep their metabolism active and healthy, 150 minutes of moderate exercise like cycling, brisk walking, jogging etc. is recommended. May be it is time for the Saudi populace to ingrain this idea deep into their conscious so that all the heath related hazards associated with inactiveness can be averted. Otherwise a perpetual damage, which is hiding in the plain site, might prove to be an unmitigated disaster in near future.
