 In the past, crude oil production was practiced in a traditional way in which the wells were dug and vertically positioned.  However, it was discovered that horizontal wells are easier and increased speed when getting oil from below.  It didn’t stop from there as new discoveries were made on ways to make extraction of crude oil a lot faster than ever.  This may entail more costs because there is technology involved to make a room for more improvements in the process of production.  Oil wells had been continuously invented and constructed to beat the demands for the crude oil. As years passed, crude oil became in demand and had been imported from among the oil producing countries like Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Canada.
