Saudi Arabia Scholarships for all
Saudi Minister for Greater Knowledge Khalid Al-Anqari declared recently that Saudi Arabic has allocated 150 graduate student programs for People from the philippines in various colleges in the Empire, according to Philippine Ambassador Ezzedin H. Tago. Filipinos are working in technical and administrative positions in Saudi colleges in thousands and the Empire embraces them to utilize for grants at graduate student level programs in Saudi colleges, Al-Anqari told Tago.

Tago thanked Al-Anqari “for this recent generous development,” adding that he would encourage People from the philippines seeking higher education to utilize for the grants available in all fields except medical degrees. Tago met with Al-Anqari on Thursday at the headquarters of the Secretary of state for Greater Knowledge in Riyadh.

Tago said those interested in applying for the grants may do so through the websites of the colleges or through the Philippine Embassy, which shall send the applications to the Saudi Secretary of state for Greater Knowledge through diplomatic channels. At present, there are six Philippine students on full scholarship at the King Abdullah University for Science and Technology (KAUST), which opened in 2009. They are in addition to People from the philippines studying Islamic studies in colleges in Makkah and Madinah.
